Fusiliers Connect Coffee Club is an easy way for family, veterans, serving Fusiliers (regular and reservist) and cadet adult volunteers to get together locally over a brew. It's a simple, no fuss way to connect and the Fusiliers Aid Society are supporting by covering the cost.
The Fusiliers Association has reached its initial target number of Coffee Clubs that it can financially support in phase one. So any new Coffee clubs may be set up but without financial support at this stage. If you would like to lead a group please also consider Walk+Talk
Coffee Club is one of several new initiatives being launched as part of our Fusiliers Connect 2023 strategy to better connect and support the Fusilier community. Some members, for whatever reason, cannot make a dinner or a walk, and so grabbing a coffee with like-minded people can provide that fun and much needed touch point. You don't have to know each other at first, or have served together, and family is at the heart of this.
To start with we are aiming to support ten Coffee Clubs get set up all around the UK, so we need Fusiliers to volunteer...
Here's a list of COFFEE CLUB events:
Click on the coffee club descriptions here and sign up to the chat group. All RRF veterans, serving members and family & family are welcome.
How does Coffee Club work?
Each Coffee Club meets at least 4 times a year and the first 10 clubs will receive £100 each year to buy the brews for the group.
To volunteer as a Coffee Club leader just fill out the form below.
A Coffee Club can be held in any local Coffee shop, restaurant or even a home, and the location, time and date are up to the Club leader. We help the club leader advertise their Coffee Club events and will get the groups set up on the new Fusiliers Connect app.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Emails go out to the region where the walk is being held but if you see the walk advertised then anyone can attend. If you are in the area or are keen for the trip then please do sign up. All you need to do is join the walk WhatsApp group (in the walk adverts on this page) so the walk leader knows you are coming.
On the website at the bottom of the list of walks there are "Other Walk+Talks". These are walks that have been set up but have recently happened and the walk leader has not yet selected a date or location for the next one. You don't need to wait for a date and can just join the WhatsApp group. That way you can be part of the group discussion about location and date for the next walk.
If you have an question about disability on one or any of the Walk + Talks please email firstname.lastname@example.org.Most of our walk leaders can be flexible to select a walk location that is wheelchair or mobility scooter accessible if given advance warning and we will do what we can to make Walk + Talk inclusive throughout.
If you can't access WhatsApp please email email@example.com asap in advance of the walk so we can let the walk leader know.
Please join the walk WhatsApp group anyway as it may be possible to change it to a time that works for everyone, or at least then you can have input into the time for the next walk.
If you would like to be involved but there is no walk near you then please get in touch. You are probably not the only one and we can help you get a Walk + Talk started and help let members know in your area. Alternatively you can go straight to the website and fill in the form to lead a new Walk + Talk in your area.
